When you still want a good breakfast, but in a different form.
While we focus on bagels for the most part over here at Jack’s, we would not be a proper southern California establishment if we didn’t also have a variety of options, including Mexican food.
Our favorite dish that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner is none other than the burrito.
Burritos are flour or corn tortillas that are wrapped and stuffed with various fillings. The beauty of a burrito is that you can put anything in there; whether it is eggs and potatoes for breakfast, or meat, cheese, and lettuces for other times during the day.
The history of our wrapped food goes further back that you may imagine. In 10,000 B.C., the Mesopotamia people of Mexico began wrapping their foods in corn tortillas for meals-avocado included. It made its way to the United States in the 1930’s, and was seen first appearing in California around that time.
Here at Jack’s, we have a few breakfast burrito options to choose from. Whether it is chorizo or our vegetarian, breakfast is made that much better.
